Here you will find information on the conditions that apply to the use of FunnelCAD.
Scope and Contracting Party
1.1 These Terms of Service (hereinafter: "Terms") apply to the use of the web app FunnelCAD and the website funnelcad.com by entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 BGB (German Civil Code), legal entities under public law, and special funds under public law. They apply to free use and to paid plans. Our offer is not aimed at consumers within the meaning of Section 13 BGB. By creating an account, you confirm that you use FunnelCAD in the exercise of your commercial or independent professional activity.

1.3 Any deviating terms and conditions of the user apply only if we have expressly agreed to them in text form. Individual agreements take precedence.
Description of the Service
FunnelCAD is a program in which you build a sales funnel like a technical drawing: traffic sources, steps and offers, connected by conversion rates. From your inputs, FunnelCAD computes, among other things, revenue, costs, hours and profit per month and how likely a month is to reach your target. The conditions relevant to you can be found in the corresponding sub-section.
Use Without an Account
You can use FunnelCAD free of charge and without an account in your browser. The app saves your funnels automatically in the local storage (localStorage) of your browser. These funnels are available only in this browser on this device. If your browser blocks storage, the app keeps working and tells you so once; your funnels are then not saved in the browser.
The browser can delete data kept in local storage. For backups, Section 7.1 applies.
Account and Cloud Storage
You can optionally create a free account. Funnels that you add to your account are stored in the cloud and are available on every device on which you sign in. Changes are saved on your device first and are sent to your account as soon as our server can be reached. If another device saved the same funnel first, you decide which version applies.
Cloud storage is subject to the limits of your plan. You can see them in the app under "Account settings ▸ Plan". The Free plan includes up to 3 cloud funnels, Pro up to 200, each of up to 1 MB. If your account holds more cloud funnels than your plan allows, for example after Pro ends, nothing is deleted: the 3 funnels you edited last remain editable, and you can still open, export, share as a snapshot and delete the others. FunnelCAD keeps earlier versions of each cloud funnel ("File ▸ Version history…"): on Free those of the last 7 days, on Pro those of the last 6 months; until paid plans start, every account keeps 6 months. With "Download everything", you receive all of your data as one JSON file, on every plan.
Share Links
You can share a cloud funnel through a link. On every plan, you can make a snapshot link: a read-only copy of the funnel as it is when you make or update the link, marked "Made with FunnelCAD"; viewers can look at it and, if you allow it, copy it into their own browser. With Pro, you can also make live links, which always show the current state of the funnel; if you switch comments on, the people you give the link to can comment and suggest values once they sign in with a FunnelCAD account. With Pro, you can also protect a live link with a password and show snapshots without the FunnelCAD brand.
You decide what you share and with whom. Anyone who has a link without a password can open it and sees the funnel as the link shows it. You choose, for example, whether notes and tasks are included (on blocks and on links alike), and, on every plan, which scenario a link opens on and which scenarios its viewers can see; scenarios you do not show are not sent to them. Where a link is posted, for example in social networks or messengers, a preview with the funnel's name, shape and key figures can also be shown to people who do not open it. You can stop, replace or delete a link at any time; copies that viewers have already made stay with them. When Pro ends, your live links are paused until you have Pro again; you can turn a paused live link without comments into a snapshot link. FunnelCAD has no function for editing a funnel together.
Export
You can export every funnel as a funnel file (JSON or .fcad) with all of its scenarios and import it again. You can also export the drawing as PNG, as SVG, and as PDF for printing. Export is also available without an account.
Calculations
FunnelCAD computes all figures exclusively from your inputs and assumptions, such as budgets, costs per click, conversion rates, prices and hours. The results are model calculations. They show what follows from your assumptions, not what will actually happen. For liability and warranty, Section 8 applies.
Pro Plan
Pro is the paid plan for one person. It includes the functions described for Pro on the website and in the app at the time of your order, with the limits shown in the app under "Account settings ▸ Plan". Pro costs €19 per month (billed monthly) or €159 per year (billed yearly), each plus VAT (Section 5).
New accounts can try Pro free of charge for 14 days. The trial ends by itself and does not turn into a paid plan; the account then continues on the Free plan.
Founding offer: The first 50 customers who enter the promotion code FOUNDING at checkout pay €99 per year instead of €159 for Pro billed yearly. This price applies to the yearly subscription it was bought with, for as long as that subscription runs; it ends when that subscription ends. The offer does not apply to Pro billed monthly.
Connected Apps (Claude)
With Pro, you can connect Claude, the AI assistant by Anthropic, to your account (a "connected app"). You connect it yourself and confirm the connection with "Allow" on FunnelCAD's page; you can disconnect it at any time in the app under "Account settings ▸ Connections". The function is part of Pro, including the free Pro trial; the Free plan does not include it. When Pro ends, the connection remains in your account but does nothing until you have Pro again.
A connected app acts with your rights: within your account, it can read your cloud funnels and the figures FunnelCAD computes, and, when you ask it to, it can create and change funnels, add and tick notes and tasks, and read the comments on your live links and write comments and replies there in your name (the people in the discussion are notified as when you reply yourself). It can also do everything else you can do with your funnels by hand, including deleting funnels, links and comments (other people's too), emptying the Trash, switching links on and off, giving them a new address, setting or removing a link password, deciding on reviewers' suggestions, blocking reviewers, reading view counts, exporting and importing whole funnels, and restoring or copying earlier versions. It cannot access your account settings, your plan or your billing, or connect other apps. You are responsible for what you ask the app to do and for the changes it makes on your behalf; they are saved like changes you make yourself. Every change is kept as a version of the funnel for as long as your plan keeps versions ("File ▸ Version history…"), and the app can restore one; still, check important changes and back up important funnels (Section 7.1).
Connected apps are subject to fair-use limits per account: up to 2,000 read requests per hour, up to 300 change requests per hour and up to 2,000 per day, with at most 60 requests at once and then one per second. Requests beyond a limit are refused until the limit allows them again; nothing is changed by them. Use within these limits is not an automated use that impairs operation within the meaning of Section 7.3. We may temporarily switch the function off or end individual connections if this is necessary for security, for the operation of FunnelCAD or to stop misuse.
Claude is a service of Anthropic that you use under your own contract with Anthropic; Anthropic's terms and privacy policy apply to it. We do not owe the availability or functioning of the connected app or the correctness of its answers, and we are not responsible for what it does with the data it receives. The figures shown in FunnelCAD are decisive; an app's account of them may be wrong. For liability, Section 8.7 applies.
Planned Plan Studio
On the website, we present the planned plan Studio (€49 per month per workspace, including 3 seats). We do not offer Studio yet, and it cannot be booked yet. The functions and the price shown for Studio are plans, not a binding offer (Section 3.1). We will add its scope of services, prices, term, payment and termination to these Terms before we offer it.
Website
The website funnelcad.com provides information about FunnelCAD and contains documentation. Its content is for general information only and is not advice.
Conclusion of Contract
3.1 The presentation of FunnelCAD and its plans on the website does not constitute a binding offer.
3.2 For the use of FunnelCAD without an account, these Terms apply as soon as you use the app.
3.3 When you create an account, a free contract of use for the account on the Free plan is concluded. There is no entitlement to an account. We may temporarily restrict registration, for example to invited persons, or close it.
3.4 You order Pro in the app while signed in to your account: you choose yearly or monthly billing and are taken to the checkout page of our payment service provider Stripe. There you enter your billing details and a payment method. By clicking the payment button, you submit a binding offer to conclude a contract for Pro. The contract is concluded when the payment has been completed and Pro is activated in your account; this happens automatically, usually within a few minutes.
Rights of Use
4.1 For the duration of use, we grant you the simple, non-transferable right to use FunnelCAD as intended in the browser for your business purposes, including in projects for your clients. You receive no further rights to the software, to the name and logo of FunnelCAD, or to the content of the website, unless mandatory statutory provisions permit otherwise.
4.2 The funnels, scenarios, notes and tasks that you create in FunnelCAD are your content. We acquire no rights to them. If you store funnels in your account, you grant us only the rights we need to store them, transmit them, show them to you on your devices and show them through the links you make to the people who open these links. You may use your exports (funnel file, PNG, SVG, PDF) freely, including commercially.
4.3 You may use the example funnels included in FunnelCAD as a starting point for your own funnels and adapt them.
Prices and Payment
5.1 The use of FunnelCAD without an account and the Free plan are free of charge. The Free plan costs €0.
5.2 All prices are net prices plus the statutory value added tax, unless expressly stated otherwise. The price in the ordering process is decisive. The checkout page determines the value added tax from your billing address and VAT identification number and shows it before you pay.
5.3 The price of Pro is payable in advance for each billing period (one month or one year). It is collected with the payment method you chose at checkout, at the start of every new billing period. You receive the invoices electronically and can view and download them at any time in the app under "Account settings ▸ Plan ▸ Manage billing".
5.4 If you are in default of payment for a paid plan, we may suspend the paid services until the amounts due have been paid. If the payment for a new billing period fails, Pro remains available for three more days; after that, your account uses the Free plan until the amount has been paid. Statutory rights in the event of default remain unaffected.
Availability
6.1 We provide free use without any assured availability. There is no entitlement to a specific availability or to permanent provision. Maintenance, faults, updates or outages of third-party services may temporarily restrict use.
6.2 The editor works in your browser. If the connection to your account is interrupted, you can keep working. Changes to cloud funnels are saved on your device and sent as soon as our server can be reached again.
6.3 We may develop FunnelCAD further and change, restrict or discontinue functions, limits and the Free plan; changed limits apply from the version of these Terms that introduces them (Section 12.2). If a lower limit applies to your account, nothing stored in it is deleted: funnels over the limit stay in your account and can still be opened, exported and deleted, as described in Section 2 ("Account and Cloud Storage"). You can back up all of your data at any time with "Download everything".
User Obligations
7.1 Backups: Funnels that are saved only in the browser are kept exclusively in this browser on your device. The browser can delete them, for example when you clear site data or your history, in private mode, when storage space runs low, after a longer period without use (depending on the browser), or through settings and extensions. We cannot restore such funnels. You are responsible for regularly exporting important funnels or saving them in your account. For cloud funnels, too, we recommend a regular backup with "Download everything".
7.2 Access: Keep your access credentials secret and protect access to your account. When registering, provide an email address at which you can be reached. If you suspect misuse of your account, please inform us without delay.
7.3 Lawful use: You may use FunnelCAD only within the framework of the applicable laws and without infringing the rights of third parties. In particular, it is not permitted to circumvent limits or security measures, to attack our systems, to use the service in an automated way that impairs its operation, or to store unlawful content in your account.
7.4 If you seriously breach these obligations, we may temporarily block your account. Section 11.2 remains unaffected.
Liability and Warranty
8.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for culpable injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, for fraudulent concealment of a defect, and to the extent of an expressly assumed guarantee.
8.2 In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, our liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for the contract at the time the contract was concluded. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance the user may regularly rely.
8.3 Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. The above limitations apply accordingly in favour of our legal representatives and vicarious agents.
8.4 The figures in FunnelCAD – such as profit, probabilities, the cost of a client, or what a first test can show – are model estimates based on your own inputs and assumptions. They are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and they are no promise or guarantee that you will achieve any particular revenue, profit or result. You make any decisions based on the calculations on your own responsibility.
8.5 In the event of data loss caused by slight negligence, our liability is limited to the effort that would have been required to restore the data if you had backed up your data regularly in accordance with Section 7.1.
8.6 We do not owe that FunnelCAD works without errors and without interruption in every browser and on every device. For the deletion of browser data by you, your browser or your operating system, for changes made by browser or operating system manufacturers, and for outages of third-party services, we are liable only in accordance with Sections 8.1 to 8.3.
8.7 For connected apps of third parties (Section 2, "Connected Apps"), in particular their availability, their answers and the changes they make at your request, we are liable only in accordance with Sections 8.1 to 8.3.
Business Customers Only
9.1 FunnelCAD and its plans are aimed exclusively at entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 BGB. We do not accept accounts or orders for predominantly private purposes.
9.2 The statutory provisions on the consumer right of withdrawal and on the cancellation button for consumer contracts therefore do not apply to the contracts covered by these Terms. Should you have created an account or ordered a plan as a consumer by mistake, please inform us without delay; we can delete the account, cancel the order and refund any payments already received.
Data Protection
10.1 Information on the handling of your personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy. We generally process your data only within the framework of the applicable data protection laws of the EU and Germany.
10.2 If you store personal data of third parties in FunnelCAD, such as names in notes or tasks, you are responsible for processing this data lawfully and for informing the persons concerned accordingly. We process this data on your behalf under our data processing agreement (AVV).
10.3 If you connect an app, we transmit data from your account to its provider on your instruction, as described in the Privacy Policy. If your funnels contain personal data of third parties, you are responsible for being allowed to pass it on to the app's provider (Section 10.2).
Term, Termination and Account Deletion
11.1 The contract of use for the free account runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time without notice by deleting your account or by asking us to do so by email to legal@funnelcad.com. While a Pro subscription renews, cancel it first (Section 11.5); after that, you can delete your account.
11.2 We may terminate the contract for the free account with 30 days' notice in text form. The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected. Good cause exists in particular in the event of a serious breach of Section 7.3.
11.3 When your account is deleted, we delete the data stored in your account, including your cloud funnels and their links, unless statutory retention obligations prevent this. Back up your data beforehand, for example with "Download everything".
11.4 Deleting your account does not touch the funnels saved in your browser. They stay there until you or your browser delete them.
11.5 A Pro subscription runs for the chosen billing period (one month or one year) and renews automatically by the same period unless it is cancelled before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel it at any time with effect at the end of the current billing period, in the app under "Account settings ▸ Plan ▸ Manage billing" or in text form by email to legal@funnelcad.com. Pro remains available until then; afterwards, your account continues on the Free plan. The billing period of a running subscription cannot be changed in the app. To switch between monthly and yearly billing, cancel the subscription to the end of the paid period and then subscribe with the other billing period; or write to us at legal@funnelcad.com, and we will arrange the switch for you. We may terminate a Pro subscription in text form with 30 days' notice to the end of a billing period. The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected.
11.6 Amounts already paid for the current billing period are not refunded if you cancel the subscription or delete your account, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise. If you delete your account after cancelling, the rest of the paid period ends with the account.
Final Provisions
12.1 Applicable Law and Jurisdiction: The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, our place of business is the place of jurisdiction for all disputes.
12.2 Changes to These Terms: We may change these Terms with effect for the future, in particular when we introduce paid plans or change functions. We will inform account holders of material changes in advance in text form. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account in accordance with Section 11.1.
12.3 Amendments and supplements to the contract should be recorded in text form. Individual agreements take precedence over these Terms regardless of their form.
12.4 Should a provision of these Terms be or become wholly or partially ineffective, the rest of the contract remains effective. The ineffective provision is replaced by the statutory provisions.
12.5 Contract Language: The contract language is German. Translations into other languages are for information purposes only and are not legally binding.
These Terms are valid without signature and come into effect upon publication on the website.
